Am I eligible for the BASE course?
The more training, effort and preparation you do prior to this course, the more you will get out of it. Please don't apply for any course (even if you meet all requirements) if you're not prepared to put in 100% before and during.
All our courses have different Course Requirements. Check the relevant pages for more information.

Why do I need a minimum of 300 skydives before I can BASE jump?
We have seen it all and in simple terms "The more skydives you have, the better prepared you are for BASE jumping". The main reasons we ask for 300 skydives is:
1. To ensure good canopy control in tight landing areas
2. To be able to track away from the wall

BASE JUMPING & SAFETY:
Is BASE jumping really dangerous?
Any activity, to be safely conducted, requires that the participant:
1. Has received sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision
2. Is using equipment specific to the task at hand
3. Is trained in a controlled, low level of risk environment (e.g: For BASE jumping: a bridge of a safe workable altitude), a controlled simulated higher risk environment (employ object avoidance and other drills), and an operational environment (participating in the activity at a venue that is graded and within the demonstrated ability of the participant)
BASE equipment and techniques are different to regular skydiving - jumpers can minimise risk by using only the latest BASE-specific equipment AND up-to-date training.

We offer a complete, intensive BASE course; from PCA's on a bridge to the subterminal cliffs of Lauterbrunnen. We don't split our course into 'beginner/intermediate/advanced', and charge you 3 times. We don't do a single-object course. You don't need to take time off work 3 or 4 times to come back to us and finish your course.
Our 'courses' also offer a lifetime mentorship. We are committed to your safety and welcome you back on any course in the future should you need a refresher, or more training & advice. We are with you all the way.
Our aim from the beginning was to design courses which share our instructors' years of experience in BASE jumping and give students a sound, wide ranging knowledge bank - to give you the best possible foundation for a long life in the sport.

Why can't I use my Power suit / Sumo / Tube? I've skydived it a lot.
When you start to BASE jump, a tracking suit is a safety tool; giving you those vital extra centimetres you may need to avoid a cliff strike. Today's 'power' suits are designed to maximize your tracking performance, and are extremely powerful. Big suits = big problems, and this is not something we want to bring into the BASE environment during your first few jumps.
Skydiving your suit is a different environment altogether; no matter how comfortable you feel tracking from a plane, you do not have the experience of a subterminal exit/track or the visuals at low altitude right next to a cliff.
We want to keep you as safe as possible. Classic suits only please.
