your first taste of base
By popular demand, we have started running first jump courses! Our FJC is an introduction to BASE jumping, without the hassle of learning how to pack before the course or purchasing gear! Think of it like a holiday in Croatia, with some BASE jumping, education and great times with new friends!
This course is a stepping stone into the world of BASE jumping, specifically designed for the person who would like to 'try it out' or get some 'awesome pool room pictures!' Unlike the BASE course, we operate at a slower and much more casual pace but still with plenty of jumping and classroom sessions.
You'll leave this course with a solid understanding of slider down BASE jumping and up to 10 BASE jump under your belt. All we ask is you come prepared, ready to learn and stoked to be there! So come and join LTBJ for your first jump course!
*This is NOT the BASE course, this is an FJC and introduction to BASE jumping. We do not expect you to continue jumping after the course nor does it prepare you for jumping alone. We strongly suggest that you take part in the LTBJ BASE course so we can mentor and guide you correctly. Whilst you dont need to learn how to pack before the course, we still recommend you learning to pack using our packing tutorial. We will be helping you pack during the course.*

what can I expect?
This 4 day course is a light introduction to BASE jumping, that's great to take part in if you're considering starting BASE or not sure if it's for you. Our focus during the course is to arm you with the basic knowledge of BASE jumping and experience of slider down jumping from a 'safe' object.
After the course is finished, if you decide to continue BASE jumping, we strongly recommend you come back and take part in the full BASE course, to master terminal tracking through Italy and Switzerland. Like everyone who joins LTBJ you'll be welcome back on any course you've taken part in, forever, for free!
Topics include:
- Site evaluations
- How to pack
- Malfunctions and how to deal with them
- Understanding weather
- PCA and hand held jumping
- Introduction to multi way jumping
- Canopy control and object avoidance
- Seminars & Ethics
- and much, much more!
If you have any questions, then please don't hesitate to contact us!
(We will do our best to make sure all topics & jumps are covered but remember, this is a weather dependent sport and sometimes we don't get all the jumps done... that's why we offer to come back whenever you like.)
